Trimmers are now an indispensable product for many men. As with most things, you get what you pay for and there are more blade types and materials than you might think, from different types of steel, titanium or even ceramic. Our new trimmers are equipped with very good blades that are waterproof and rust resistant. More expensive blades prove to be more versatile and tend to last longer due to their harder materials.
It's always best to schedule time for care for your trimmer but don't let that deter you. These are all basic things that will ensure years of faithful service from your trimmer. The most important thing is very simple: clean after each use. Aside from the obvious hygiene reasons, regular cleaning is gentle on the blade as it removes any oily residue from the previous cutting process. Use a trimmer cleaning spray and also apply a tiny amount of oil to the blade. As long as you don't completely soak the trimmer in oil (which can damage some blades), you're golden.
Cutting your own hair for the first time is often a frightening (not to mention discouraging) experience for most, but it doesn't have to be that way. For starters, hair has the pretty handy ability to grow back, so any mistakes can be reversed.
